OUR STORY

Elizabeth's Daycare and Preschool Center is a family-owned and operated business that provides quality childcare services.

We started as a licensed home childcare facility in East Arlington, MA, in October 2006. Due to the high demand for our services, we expanded to two other family childcare in Arlington Heights in 2016 after a waiting list of over 22 families in one year. We understand that there is an increasing need for quality childcare in the Arlington area, which is growing rapidly.

Our passion and commitment to providing a homelike and nurturing environment to children have inspired us to expand our services to even more families. We aim to open childcare centers in Arlington Center and soon in the Huron Village area in Cambridge, so that we can reach out to even more families and offer our services to more children. Thank you for considering Elizabeth's Daycare and Preschool Center for your childcare needs.

Hey there!

I'm the program director at Elizabeth's Daycare and Preschool Center, and I've been part of the EDPC community since 2020. I'm so happy to be here, and I can't wait to get to know you all. I was born in Morovis, Puerto Rico, but I grew up in Somerville, MA. I love directing a bilingual preschool center and showing everyone how important speaking more than one language can be.

I graduated from UCB with a degree in Early Education, and I've spent ten years working in the Early Education field. I've been a teacher and lead teacher at Bellas Manitas, and I've worked as an EC at The Goddard School. When I'm not at work, I love to travel, eat delicious food, dance, and spend time with my family and friends.

Feel free to say hi anytime!

Elizabeth Noguera (Ms. Liz)

Founder/Co-Owner

 Hello,

My name is Elizabeth, but you can call me Ms. Liz. I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, and Spanish is my primary language. I am a proud mother of two lovely little girls and one baby boy. Growing up, my mom ran a home daycare, and little did I know that it would become my lifelong passion. For over a decade, I have provided exceptional care and learning experiences for young children through our family childcare program in both East Arlington and Arlington Heights.

In 2017, I graduated with high honors from Urban College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. More recently, in 2020, I received my BA in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Nazarene, and I am now pursuing my M.Ed. at Lesley University.

The inspiration for Elizabeth's Daycare and Preschool Center stemmed from my desire to provide my children with an immersive and enjoyable introduction to the Spanish language. Being a working mother, I understand the importance and challenges of finding exceptional preschools for your little ones. Growing up in Arlington with parents from Peru, Spanish was always present in my daily life - at home, school, and playgrounds. However, I was surprised to learn that not all Arlingtonians spoke Spanish. With the increasing diversity in Arlington, I wanted to create a space where different cultures could come together and celebrate the Spanish language.

When the time came to enroll my children in preschool, I knew that Spanish learning had to be a central component. As a first-generation household, we recognized the need for additional support outside of our home to maintain our bilingualism. However, I discovered that there were limited options for families seeking to incorporate Spanish into their children's daily lives. As I searched for a community where Spanish was encouraged and celebrated, regardless of skill level, I recognized the need for quality Spanish options in early childhood education and beyond.

My mother and I began our journey by developing a unique Spanish Immersion preschool for my children and the many families who sought the same exceptional quality care for their little ones.

Founder/Co-Owner

Greetings!

I am Elizabeth Yanez, originally from Lima, Peru and a proud mother of three lovely daughters. Prior to relocating to Massachusetts, I pursued a degree in Early Education at Universidad San Martin De Porres. Since my move to Arlington, I have excelled as both an educator and a businesswoman, with a passion for nurturing and educating young minds. Driven by my love for working with children, I furthered my academic achievements by obtaining a degree in Early Childhood Education from UCB.

In 2010, my preschool-aged daughter sparked a realization in me about the evolution of child care since I established my first home daycare for my older children in Arlington. While parents still sought high-quality curriculum, staffing, and security measures, I also observed a growing emphasis on environmental responsibility in modern-day families. Preserving our planet, incorporating Spanish immersion, and preserving precious resources for our children's futures emerged as vital priorities for parents today. It was this demand that inspired the creation of Elizabeth's Daycare and Preschool Center, with Arlington serving as the perfect location for our commitment to these values.

Looking Forward to a Bright Future....

I am thrilled to be working alongside my eldest daughter, Elizabeth Noguera, as a mother-daughter team committed to taking the Elizabeth Daycare and Preschool Center into a new era! With this strong foundation, we can confidently promise to give your child an exceptional level of care that goes beyond imagination! We invite you to visit and experience all the wonderful amenities that Elizabeth Daycare and Preschool Center has to offer and become a part of our family.
